Been busy bouncing back and forth the last few months between the Album Leaf, John Meeks, Mr. Tube and the Hot Moon.

John Meeks’ CD release show in May was amazing.  If you don’t have it yet, you can get his album on iTunes, or here (http://merchlackey.com/johnmeeks/).

I switched over to bass and guitar in Album Leaf.  Had to learn 18 songs in a week, it was bit hectic, but playing with Jimmy is just so goddamn fun, it was well worth the effort.  We traveled to some pretty random places this summer (ie: Albany to play with Wu-Tang?!?!), and it was a blast.

My focus for the next few months is to finish up recording the Hot Moon record.  I’d say we are about halfway done with tracking at the moment.   Our goal is to get it done by the end of September.  We’ll see how that goes.  Hot Moon features the lovely Sasha Pfau on vocals, John Paul Labno on guitar (Grand Ol Party, Mr. Tube), Jason Hooper on Drums (Black Heart Procession, Goodbye Blue Monday, Mr. Tube), Jovi Buttz on bass (Black Heart, Mr. Tube) and myself.

As you may notice, the Hot Moon pretty much = most of Mr. Tube with a different singer (a much better looking singer).
